Flames’ general manager Brad Treliving released the following statement on Twitter: “TJ Brodie experienced an episode on ice at practice today. The Chatham, Ont., native has spent his entire career in Calgary after being taken 114th overall in the 2008 NHL draft. Calgary Flames defenseman T.J. Brodie was taken to hospital after collapsing on the ice during practice on Thursday. The team reported at night that after testing he was discharged and is doing well while recovering at home.The 29-year-old was taken off the ice in a stretcher and was responsive following the incident, per multiple reports from the Scotiabank Saddledome.last_img
